1. Scope & Purpose

These guidelines provide instructions to law enforcement agencies, government bodies, and judicial officials seeking information or records from Crowdbeats regarding users, creators, or platform activities.

2. Legal Process Requirements

Except in life-threatening emergency situations, Crowdbeats discloses account information only in response to valid legal process under United States law (18 U.S.C. § 2703) and applicable international treaties:

  1. 1
Subpoenas: Valid grand jury, trial, or administrative subpoenas may be used to request basic subscriber records (e.g., name, account creation date, email address, IP logs).
  2. 2
Court Orders (2703(d)): Court orders issued under 18 U.S.C. § 2703(d) are required for non-content transactional data (e.g., session participation history, tipping metadata, communication timestamps).
  3. 3
Search Warrants: A search warrant issued under the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure (or equivalent state warrant) supported by probable cause is required for the disclosure of stored communications content (e.g., private messages, direct notes).

3. Emergency Disclosure Requests

Under 18 U.S.C. § 2702(b)(8) and § 2702(c)(4), Crowdbeats may voluntarily disclose user data to law enforcement if we have a good faith belief that an emergency involving imminent danger of death or serious physical injury requires immediate disclosure without delay.

Emergency Request Submission:

  • Send urgent requests with the subject line "EMERGENCY DISCLOSURE REQUEST" to emergency-legal@crowdbeats.ai.
  • Include:
  • Description of the emergency and nature of imminent harm.
  • Specific identifier(s) of the target account (UID, email, profile URL).
  • Specific records required to avert the emergency.
  • Officer name, badge number, department, and contact telephone number.

4. Preservation Requests

Crowdbeats accepts formal preservation requests under 18 U.S.C. § 2703(f). Upon receipt of a valid preservation letter, we will retain temporary account records for a period of 90 days pending receipt of formal legal process.
